Reiki energy
Usui Reiki originated in Japan and stems from the school of thought in which the foundation for good health stems from a balance of energy. Healing energy flows freely and powerfully when guided by calm thoughts and a clear heart. It is a hands-on system whereby the Universal Life Force is channeled to the body. Reiki does not utilize massage. In a calm and tranquil atmosphere, the body and mind relax and readily accept the life giving and healing energy.
It is a natural and spiritual system, driven by clear intent. There are a multitude of feelings one may experience while receiving Reiki. Among them is warmth, soothing, tingling, feeling lighter as if floating on air, and many others. Although spiritual in nature, it does not promote any religion over another, yet it encourages one to accept the Universal Life Force we may rightfully receive.
Every client I have seen, has at a minimum, described a feeling of peace or near total relaxation. Others have traveled beyond (or deep within) their minds and still others saw colors and felt a deep sense of calm. In the hours and days that follow a session, the congestion that has been broken up by the Reiki session naturally leaves the body. There is a period of enlightenment where creativity, love and kindness are heightened.
